"Blinken Urges Protection for Palestinians in Gaza to Prevent Escalation"

U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken emphasized the need for Palestinians to be able to return to their homes in Gaza as soon as it's safe, rejecting Israeli ministers' comments advocating for resettlement outside of Gaza. Blinken also called for increased aid to Gaza and a role for the United Nations in facilitating the return of displaced Palestinians. He reiterated the U.S.'s commitment to a two-state solution and lasting peace and security in the region.
