China's Role in Arming Russia and Evading Sanctions Revealed by US Intelligence

China is reportedly providing crucial support to Russia in its war effort in Ukraine by helping the Kremlin evade Western sanctions and likely supplying Moscow with key technology, according to a U.S. intelligence report. China has expanded its purchase of Russian energy exports and used its financial system to facilitate transactions for Russia. Chinese state-owned defense companies have allegedly shipped dual-use technology to Russian defense firms. Despite export restrictions, Russia has been able to acquire U.S.-made semiconductors through transactions with Chinese firms. China and Russia have also increased the use of the yuan for bilateral trade to bypass financial sanctions.
