"DRC President Tshisekedi Inaugurated Amidst Political Tensions"
TL;DR
President William Ruto and former President Uhuru Kenyatta attended the swearing-in ceremony of President Felix Tshisekedi in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The event marked a significant moment in the strained relations between Kenya and DRC, with previous tensions over rebel meetings and election observer status. The East African Community's involvement in the region, including a now-ended military mission, has also been a point of contention. Despite past controversies, the leaders' presence at the inauguration signals a potential shift in diplomatic relations.
