The leaked 38-minute audio recording allegedly features German army officers discussing potential strikes on Crimea and the use of missiles provided to Ukraine by Germany, France, and Britain. The German defense ministry believes the conversation was intercepted, and experts consulted by Der Spiegel magazine consider the recording to be authentic. The acquisition of German Taurus missiles by Ukraine would significantly bolster its defense against Russia's invasion, but Scholz has so far refused to send the missiles, fearing escalation of the conflict.
