ICC's Khan Urges World to Pursue Justice for Ukraine Amidst Putin Arrest Warrant.

The International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, has described the arrest warrant issued against Russian President Vladimir Putin as a "sombre" occasion and not a moment for backslapping. The ICC accused Putin of illegally deporting hundreds of children from Ukraine, a charge that Moscow has rejected. Khan called for the repatriation of the children and urged states to cooperate with the court. Ukraine's prosecutor general said his office had launched investigations into more than 72,000 incidents of alleged war crimes and would soon sign an agreement to establish an ICC field office in Ukraine.
