India's Foreign Minister Counters Canada's Allegations

Indian External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar has criticized Canada for its permissiveness towards organized crime, secessionist forces, violence, and extremism, citing concerns over political reasons. He stated that India has provided Canada with specific information about organized crime and terrorist leaders operating from Canada, along with numerous extradition requests. Jaishankar expressed worry about threats to Indian diplomats and attacks on Indian consulates, emphasizing the need for specific information to take appropriate action. He also addressed Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's allegations regarding the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, assuring that India would investigate if provided with specific evidence. India has suspended visa services in Canada and issued a travel advisory due to growing anti-India activities and politically-condoned hate crimes in the country.
