International Center in The Hague Opens to Investigate Russian Aggression in Ukraine

The International Centre for the Prosecution of the Crime of Aggression (ICPA) has opened in The Hague to investigate Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The center includes prosecutors from Ukraine, the European Union, and the International Criminal Court (ICC), with the United States also participating. Its ultimate aim is to prosecute those responsible for the invasion, collecting evidence and preparing charges against Kremlin officials. The ICC, which cannot investigate the crime of aggression, had previously opened an investigation into alleged child deportations by Russia. Ukraine has been demanding a special war crimes tribunal after the discovery of hundreds of bodies in Bucha.
