Iran Frees Three European Nationals, Including Two Austrians and One Dane

Iran has released two Austrian and one Danish citizen who were imprisoned in the country, after years of detention. The release was facilitated by Oman and Belgium. The prisoners will be flown to Belgium’s military airport after a stop in Oman. The releases come after Omani Sultan Haitham bin Tariq visited Iran. Iran has detained a number of foreigners and dual nationals in recent years, mostly accusing them of espionage or other state security offences.
