Malaysia Implements Ban on Israeli Ships in Response to Gaza Conflict

Malaysia has banned all Israeli-flagged cargo ships from docking at its ports in response to the war in Gaza, accusing Israel of violating international law through the "massacre and brutality against Palestinians." The ban includes ZIM, Israel's largest shipping firm, and also prohibits ships on their way to Israel from loading cargo at any Malaysian port. Malaysia, which does not maintain diplomatic relations with Israel, has been a vocal supporter of the Palestinian cause. The ban comes amid disruptions to global shipping due to attacks on cargo ships in the Red Sea by Yemen's Houthi rebels.
