Kallas also called for EU countries to improve their defense capabilities and highlighted the importance of developing the defense industry. She stressed the instability and danger posed by Russia and Belarus and urged a focus on helping Ukraine rather than Russia's internal problems. Kallas advocated for the use of Russian frozen assets to restore Ukraine and called for increased economic and political pressure on Russia. She also emphasized that Ukraine and Moldova must fulfill criteria and carry out difficult reforms for EU membership.
