TL;DR

Turkish police used tear gas and water cannons to disperse hundreds of pro-Palestinian protesters attempting to storm the Incirlik air base in Adana, Turkey, which houses U.S. troops. The rally, organized by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation, called for the closure of the base due to Israeli attacks on Gaza and U.S. support for Israel. The clashes occurred just hours before U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken's scheduled visit to Ankara for talks on Gaza. Turkey has increased its criticism of Israel and supports a two-state solution while hosting members of the Palestinian militant group Hamas.
