Russia Strikes Ukraine's Eurovision Hometown with Missiles

Russia fired cruise missiles and Iranian-made kamikaze drones at Ukrainian targets overnight, triggering air raid alerts across the country. The drones and missiles were launched from aircraft and Black Sea warships. Ukrainian defenses shot down most of the drones and missiles. Russia has increased the number of missile and drone attacks this month, which Kyiv attributes to Moscow's fear of an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy met German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Berlin. Germany pledged a new package of military aid worth more than €2.7 billion ($3 billion).
