Russia Targets International Criminal Court President, Issues Arrest Warrant

Russia has placed Piotr Hofmanski, the president of the International Criminal Court (ICC), on its wanted list after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for President Vladimir Putin on war crime accusations. The Russian interior ministry did not provide details of the allegations against Hofmanski. Russia has also issued arrest warrants for ICC prosecutor Karim Khan and several judges. Russia, not being a member of the ICC, considers the warrant against Putin to be "void." The ICC recently opened a field office in Ukraine to hold Russian forces accountable for their actions in the country.
