Russia warns Armenia of consequences for ICC alliance after Putin arrest warrant.

Russia has warned Armenia of "serious consequences" if it becomes a member state of the International Criminal Court (ICC) after the ICC issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin for war crimes. Armenia has been a traditional ally of Russia, but relations have soured in recent months over accusations that Moscow failed to uphold a 2020 ceasefire treaty. The ICC's warrant against Putin was the first against a leader of one of the five permanent members of the U.N. Security Council.
