Russian mercenary group Wagner has been arming the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in Sudan, according to sources and satellite imagery. Wagner, headed by Russian oligarch Yevgeny Prigozhin, has been accused of committing atrocities in Ukraine and has a significant presence in Syria, Libya, and West Africa. The fighting in Sudan has killed hundreds, and the U.S. is preparing to evacuate its embassy in Khartoum if necessary. Libyan warlord Khalifa Haftar, backed by Wagner, could be preparing to support the RSF in the conflict against the Sudanese army. The RSF denies receiving help from Russia or Libya.
