Russian Public Divided on Ending Ukraine War and Returning Occupied Territories

A recent poll conducted by the Levada Center in Russia revealed that most Russians would not support ending the invasion of Ukraine if it meant returning the occupied territories to Ukraine. Only 34% of respondents would support such a decision by President Putin. However, 70% of respondents would support ending the invasion without returning the territories. The poll also showed that support for the actions of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine remains high, with 76% of respondents expressing support. Additionally, 56% of those surveyed supported starting peace talks, with the number rising to 69% among the youngest age group.
