Slovakia's PM dispatches MIG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine.

Slovakia has become the second ally of Ukraine to provide MIG-29 fighter jets, following Poland's announcement on Thursday. Slovakia will send its operational planes and spare parts, as well as part of its KUB air-defence system. The move is closely coordinated with Ukraine, Poland, and other allies, and Slovakia will receive financial compensation from the EU. NATO allies in the former communist east have been vocal supporters of Kyiv since Russia invaded Ukraine in 2022.
