Spain's PM calls for communication between China and Ukraine amidst conflict.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez has urged Chinese President Xi Jinping to communicate with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding his proposals to end the war in Ukraine, including a request for Russia to restore Ukrainian territory taken during and after the annexation of Crimea in 2014. Sanchez also expressed concern over the illegal invasion of Ukraine and encouraged Xi to talk with Zelenskyy one-on-one. China recently released its own position paper on an ideal political solution to the war in Ukraine, but did not acknowledge Russia as the aggressor.
