Spanish PM urges Biden to consider China and Brazil's perspective on Ukraine.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez will urge US President Joe Biden to consider the opinions of non-NATO countries such as China and Brazil on the Ukraine war when they meet in Washington on Friday. Sanchez will convey the divergent views of Beijing and Brasilia and propose that greater weight be given to the opinions of non-NATO members that are also impacted by the war. Sanchez will also outline to Biden the concept of "open strategic autonomy", a central policy of his forthcoming European mandate which is not intended to veer towards protectionism but to reduce Europe's "vulnerabilities".
