Ukrainian Commander Celebrates Bakhmut Advance, Secures UK Weapons Pledge

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy received pledges of military aid from France and Germany during his tour of European capitals, with France agreeing to supply armor and Germany pledging a 2.7 billion-euro ($3 billion) package of arms. Zelenskiy also met with European leaders to discuss the ongoing conflict with Russia and the need for an ad hoc tribunal for prosecuting atrocities. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have made advances in Bakhmut, capturing more than 10 Russian positions, while Russia has suffered losses, including the deaths of two military commanders.
