U.N. nuclear chief postpones Ukraine plant visit due to security concerns.

The head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), Rafael Grossi, has delayed his visit to the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine due to security concerns amid heavy fighting between Russia and Ukraine. The IAEA wants to assess the risks to the plant after the destruction of a nearby dam. Russian forces captured the hydroelectric dam and the nuclear plant in southern Ukraine shortly after their February 2022 invasion. The plant uses a cooling pond to keep its six reactors from potentially disastrous overheating.
