"US and UK Sanction Airline CEOs and Financial Networks Linked to Militant Groups"

The US Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has designated Iraqi airline Fly Baghdad and its CEO for providing assistance to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps–Qods Force (IRGC-QF) and its proxy groups in Iraq, Syria, and Lebanon. Additionally, three leaders and supporters of the Iran-aligned militia Kata’ib Hizballah (KH) and a business that moves and launders funds for KH have also been designated. This action underscores the ongoing threat posed by the IRGC-QF and its proxy network to US personnel and the region. The Treasury Department's move is aimed at disrupting Iran's illicit activities and its use of seemingly legitimate businesses as cover for funding and facilitating attacks.
