US Defense Secretary shows support for Ukraine in Brussels talks.

US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin has pledged to support Ukraine for as long as it takes during a meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in Brussels. NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has also reiterated that financial and military aid is making a difference on the battlefield as Ukraine's counteroffensive begins. Meanwhile, the Australian government has passed legislation to prevent Russia from building a new embassy near Parliament House citing national security concerns. Workers at a steel plant near the front lines of the counteroffensive in southeastern Ukraine are not cowed by the air raid sirens that regularly sound as they work with molten metal at temperatures up to 1,100 degrees Celsius.
