"US Imposes New Sanctions on Russian Defense Procurement Network"

The US has imposed sanctions on a Belgian individual, his companies, and a group of Belarusian firms and individuals linked to Russia's invasion of Ukraine. The Belgian, Hans De Geetere, is accused of procuring electronics for the Russian military. The sanctions block access to US property and bank accounts for the targeted entities and individuals, and prohibit them from doing business with Americans. The US Treasury also sanctioned 11 entities and 8 people tied to the Lukashenka regime in Belarus for their suppression of democratic civil society and complicity in Russia's war against Ukraine.
