US Imposes Sanctions on Hamas's Iranian Sponsors and Trainers

The United States has imposed a second round of sanctions targeting individuals and organizations linked to Hamas, with a focus on Iran's financial support to the Gaza-based terror group. The sanctions include Hamas representatives in Iran and members of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps. The US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control emphasized Iran's role in providing financial, logistical, and operational support to Hamas. The move comes as the US seeks support from allies, including Britain, to cut off funding for Hamas. Most of the international funding for Gaza-based terror groups comes from Iran, with additional support from Qatar. Israel has accused Iran of being behind the recent coordinated Hamas attack on Israel, which resulted in numerous casualties.
