Zelenskiy declares Ukraine and the West can make Russia's defeat 'irreversible'

Ukrainian President Zelenskiy visited Germany and thanked the country for being a "true friend" during his first visit since the war with Russia broke out. Germany announced its largest military aid package yet, worth $3 billion, to Ukraine. Zelenskiy said that Kyiv and its Western supporters could make a Russian defeat in the war in Ukraine "irreversible" as early as this year. He also stated that Ukraine is ready for peace but demands that any peace plan should be based on Ukraine's proposals and ruled out the idea of any territorial concessions to Russia.
