Zelensky's Diplomatic Challenges in Securing NATO Support and Nuclear Reactors

Ukrainian President Zelensky embarked on a foreign tour to Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, and Turkey ahead of the NATO summit, aiming to secure support for Ukraine's membership in the alliance. Zelensky successfully obtained a declaration of support from Bulgaria and highlighted the contrast between European support and perceived uncertainty from the US, which is seen as the main obstacle to Ukraine's NATO invitation. Zelensky also met with Turkish President Erdogan to secure endorsement for Ukraine's NATO aspirations and discuss the expiring Black Sea grain deal.
