India's Operation Kaveri evacuates 500 citizens from Port Sudan.

India has launched "Operation Kaveri" to evacuate its citizens from Sudan, with about 500 Indians already reaching Port Sudan. Air Force C-130J and INS Sumedha have been deployed for the rescue mission. Violence broke out in Sudan on April 15 between forces loyal to army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and his deputy-turned-rival Mohamed Hamdan Daglo, resulting in the deaths of at least 420 people and injuries to 3,700. The US has already evacuated all its personnel and their families, while France has evacuated 388 people from 28 countries, including Indian nationals.
