Since Thailand decriminalized cannabis in June 2022, thousands of weed businesses have opened, including swanky bars, dinner cruises, and massage treatments. Cannabis has become so prolific that it's like Starbucks, with a pot shop on every corner. Tourists can even book half-day tours of cannabis farms. However, smoking in public is technically illegal, and cannabis products with over 0.2 percent THC are illegal in Thailand. Despite concerns that the wide availability of the drug could put children at risk, demand for cannabis across the country is so high that even with hundreds and thousands of acres devoted to cultivation, there's still a shortage.
