Footage casts doubt on army’s account of Hebron infant shooting
TL;DR
An Israeli rights group, B'Tselem, released footage that it says contradicts the army's claim that soldiers fired after perceiving a vehicle approaching, showing the car slowing near two soldiers as it halted in Hebron and the wounded infant being carried away; the army says it is reviewing the video and previously stated the family were uninvolved civilians. The incident occurred amid rising West Bank violence since 2023 and has drawn scrutiny over soldiers' conduct and aid to the injured.
