"Klishchiivka and Andriivka: Key to Ukraine's Success"

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have successfully liberated the villages of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, but this does not constitute a breakthrough on the Bakhmut front as Russian troops have retreated to a new defense line. The AFU now face the challenge of rupturing several defense lines in a row. The Ukrainian command is also trying to intensify the offensive north of Bakhmut, but without immediate results. The main problem for Ukraine is that even if successful, the operation in Bakhmut is unlikely to yield strategic benefits. The Ukrainian command sees the direction southward of Orikhiv as the main vector of its offensive operation, but additional reserves are needed for a breakthrough towards Tokmak. Russia's passive strategy involves moving from one defense line to the next, but they may use the next batch of reserves more proactively.
