"Rapidly Dying Russian Soldiers and Ukraine's War of Attrition: A Report"

A report by independent investigative outlet IStories and war monitoring project Conflict Intelligence Team (CIT) reveals that Russian soldiers mobilized for the Ukraine war are dying at a rapid rate, with an average lifespan of 4.5 months after enlistment. The report examined publicly released data related to the deaths of draftees from Putin's "partial mobilization" order, which called up around 300,000 military personnel. More than half of the mobilized soldiers killed lived at the front for less than 5 months, and every fifth mobilized person who died did not live even two months after receiving their military summons. The report also highlights the lack of troop rotations and low morale among Russian troops in Ukraine.
