TL;DR

A landslide buried a mountain village in Yunnan province, China, leaving at least 8 people dead and 47 others missing. More than 300 rescue workers are deployed to the area, where heavy snow and freezing temperatures have complicated the search for survivors. Chinese President Xi Jinping has urged local officials to intensify rescue efforts, as the region is prone to landslides and is currently experiencing a cold snap.
