A landslide struck the Shovi resort area in Georgia, resulting in the deaths of at least seven people and leaving over 30 individuals missing. The landslide, believed to have been triggered by heavy rainfall and exacerbated by recent erosion, occurred in a popular mountainous region known for its mineral springs and scenic views. Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili visited the affected area and confirmed the death toll, while officials reported that approximately 35 people remained unaccounted for.
