EU Plans Sanctions on Chinese Companies Aiding Russia's War Efforts

The European Union is considering imposing sanctions on eight Chinese companies over their alleged provision of electronic items, including semiconductors, to Russia for military purposes in Ukraine. The proposed sanctions are part of the 11th package of sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine and aim to prevent the circumvention of Western sanctions by Russia and its military. All 27 EU member states must back the sanctions for them to be enacted.
