European Powers Expose Russia's Extensive Disinformation Campaign in Europe

French authorities have uncovered a vast Russian disinformation campaign, codenamed "Portal Kombat", targeting France, Germany, Poland, and other European countries through a network of 193 websites spreading deceptive or false content about the war in Ukraine. The campaign aims to undermine support for Ukraine in Europe and create division. This discovery comes after previous campaigns attributed to Moscow, and as the European Parliament elections approach, France is seen as a particular target for Russian efforts to promote division and polarize politics.
