Ex-president's alleged plan to meet Hungary's Orban thwarted by Ukraine's security service

Former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko was denied permission to leave Ukraine for a planned meeting with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, according to Ukraine's security service. Poroshenko had also planned to meet with U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and the Polish parliament. Security officials claimed that talks with Orban would make Poroshenko a "tool in the hands of the Russian special services." Meanwhile, Ukraine's Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant faced a potential nuclear and radiation accident after losing power from two lines connecting it to the local energy grid. The plant switched to diesel generators before power was restored. Russia also launched drones and a guided cruise missile, which were reportedly destroyed by Ukrainian air defenses.
