"India and China hold face-to-face defense talks amid border tensions"
TL;DR
The defense ministers of India and China are set to hold talks in New Delhi on Thursday, marking the first such meeting on Indian soil since deadly clashes along their disputed border in the Himalayas last year. The meeting will take place on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) defense ministers’ meeting. Tensions between the two countries have been simmering since the deadly clash, and the lengthy disputed border has long been a source of friction between the two nations.
