Iranian Foreign Minister Pushes for Strategic Cooperation Among Gulf States

Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian has called for the establishment of a joint mechanism for dialogue and strategic cooperation among all countries in the Persian Gulf region. He recently visited Qatar, Oman, Kuwait, and the UAE, and welcomed an initiative by the UN Secretary-General to form an "assembly of dialogue and cooperation." The minister's discussions with senior officials and counterparts were "very positive and constructive," and he believes they herald a better, safer, and more prosperous future for the region.
