NATO and China engage in war of words over Ukraine and Russia alliance.

China's EU mission has hit back at Nato's criticism of Beijing's stance on the Ukraine conflict, accusing the security alliance of "slander and attacks". Nato Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg had accused China of echoing Russia's propaganda and propping up its economy. The Chinese mission responded by telling Nato to "ask itself how many bombs it has dropped on ordinary people in other countries". Stoltenberg had also criticised China's handling of matters related to Taiwan, Hong Kong, the South China Sea, mass surveillance and the internet.
