North Korea's Kim Yo Jong announces successful launch of military satellite.
TL;DR
Kim Yo Jong, the sister of North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, accused the United States of hypocrisy for criticizing North Korea's failed launch of a military spy satellite, insisting a successful launch will be made soon. She said North Korea's efforts to acquire space-based reconnaissance capabilities were a legitimate exercise of its sovereign right and restated the country's rejection of U.N. Security Council resolutions that ban it from conducting any launch involving ballistic missile technology. The U.S., South Korea, and Japan had quickly criticized the launch.
