Putin Addresses Allies Amid Wagner Revolt in Belarus and Central Asia

Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke to his Belarus ally, President Alexander Lukashenko, and the presidents of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan about the ongoing Wagner mutiny in Russia. Putin called the mutiny a "stab in the back" and thanked Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev for his "understanding" of the situation. Lukashenko, who allowed Russian troops to use Belarusian territory for their Ukraine offensive, remains Putin's closest ally.
