Taiwanese Minister to Visit UK in Rare Trip

Taiwan's Digital Minister Audrey Tang will visit Britain this week to attend London Tech Week, visit government departments, and meet a company specializing in low-earth orbit satellites. The two sides will exchange views on issues related to digital governance and digital industry cooperation. Tang hopes to deepen cooperation on government information security, investment, and overall Taiwan-Britain relations. Taiwan views Britain as an important democratic partner despite the lack of formal ties, noting its concern over stepped-up Chinese military activities near the island.
