"U.S. Condemns All Sides for War Crimes in Ethiopian Conflict"

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has accused all sides of the conflict in northern Ethiopia, including the Ethiopian National Defense Forces, Eritrean Defense Forces, Tigray People’s Liberation Front forces, and Amhara forces, of committing war crimes and crimes against humanity, including murder, rape, and ethnic cleansing. Blinken praised the Ethiopian government's steps towards transitional justice and invited UN human rights monitors to ensure that such acts have truly ceased. The US will partner with Ethiopia as it implements a credible transitional justice process for the benefit of all victims and affected communities.
