White House Official Calls Nord Stream Pipeline Blasts an Act of Sabotage

White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby has called the explosions that damaged the Nord Stream gas pipelines in the Baltic Sea last year an "act of sabotage." The US believes that a pro-Ukraine group was responsible for the attacks, possibly as retaliation for Russia's invasion of Ukraine in February of last year. Investigations are being conducted by Germany, Sweden, and Denmark. Russian President Vladimir Putin has accused the West of sabotaging the Russia-built natural gas pipelines.
