"Discovery of Massive New Anaconda Species in the Amazon"

Scientists, with the help of the Huaorani people, have discovered and documented the largest anaconda species ever recorded in the Amazon of Ecuador while filming a Disney+ docuseries. The team captured images of the massive snake, measuring up to 20.8 feet long, and named it the northern green anaconda (Eunectes akayima). The discovery sheds light on the genetic differences between this species and the more well-known green anaconda, and researchers hope to monitor their reproduction to gain insight into the ecosystem's health.
