Checkpoint Shooting Leaves Security Guard Injured Near Jerusalem

A security guard and another man were lightly injured in a terror attack at the Kalandiya checkpoint near the entrance to Jerusalem. The attacker arrived on foot from the West Bank carrying an M-16 rifle and fired at security forces in the area. The attacker was shot dead by security forces at the scene. The al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades claimed responsibility for the incident.
