Drone incidents escalate tensions between Russia and Ukraine.

Three Russian cities close to the border with Ukraine reported drone attacks on the same day, with an apartment building in Voronezh being hit, causing structural damage and injuring three people. Officials in Belgorod and Kursk also reported drone incidents. The Russian state Investigative Committee has opened a criminal case against "persons acting in the interests of the military-political leadership of Ukraine". The attacks have added to a sense among ordinary Russians that President Putin's "special military operation" in Ukraine is coming close to home.
