Russia Thwarts Ukrainian Plot to Assassinate Crimean Governor

Russia's Federal Security Service (FSB) claims to have foiled an assassination attempt on the head of annexed Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, organized by Ukraine's special services. The FSB released a video showing the arrest of a Russian national born in 1988, who had been recruited by Ukraine's Security Service and trained in subversive activities and explosives. The suspect was detained while extracting an explosive device from its hiding place. Aksyonov praised the FSB's effective work in preventing the attack.
