Finnish Newspaper Outsmarts Russian Press Restrictions with Video Game Tactic.

Finnish newspaper Helsingin Sanomat has found a way to bypass Russia's restrictions on foreign media by publishing articles about the Kremlin's war on Ukraine in the popular video game Counter-Strike. The newspaper built a map in the game called "de_voyna" which includes a hidden room containing images and texts from the paper's journalists of Russian cruelties witnessed in Ukraine. The move is aimed at reaching young Russian men who play the game and may not have access to journalism from overseas due to the crackdown on press freedom in Russia.
